Requests for help from DME are collected via the Office of Epidemiology Request Form and the Technology Request Form. Submitting one of these forms is the fastest way to get a response. Once a request is submitted, our teams look it over and will reach out to you within two business days of request submission.
Please return to the DME home page and click on ‘Make a Request’ to find the best form for submitting your request.
We typically ask for at least 10 business days to work through a request. However, some complex requests will take longer than this. If you have a strict deadline, we will work with you to determine what can be completed before that deadline.
We do our best to help with urgent requests (those with less than two weeks turnaround time), but we may be limited in what we can complete in that time.
Access to REDCap, ODRS, or NextGen is typically granted for one year, and needs to be extended after that if you continue to need access. If your access has expired, please take the following steps to regain access to the system you need:
- REDCap: email REDCap_CPH@columbus.gov with your supervisor cc’d.
- ODRS: email LARousseau@columbus.gov, JRKeslar@columbus.gov, and JAMaloney@columbus.gov, with your supervisor cc’d.
1. If I submit a request, when should I expect to hear back from DME?
DME work requests are collected via the Epi Service Request Form and the Support Services Form. Once a request is submitted, our teams look over the request and will reply within two business days of request submission.
We strongly encourage staff to fill out work requests via our forms: the Epi Service Request Form and the Support Services Form.
If you reach out to us for a work request via email, please know it might take longer to process.
For fastest responses and results, please fill out one of our work request forms.
2. How much time in advance should I submit a request before my deadline?
We typically ask staff allow us 10 business days to work through a request. We will work with you to determine what can be done before your requested deadline.
We can help you with an urgent request if you fill out one of the forms. However, please know that the scope of work we can provide might be limited if you send a work request with a short turnaround time.
We define requests with short turnaround times as requests needed within 10 business days since you submitted a work request form.
3. My access to REDCap / ODRS / NextGen has expired. What do I do?
When you are given access to REDCap, ODRS, or NextGen, you are given at least a year of access.
The responsibility is on you to inform us if one of your accounts has expired. We will handle the rest!
We add expiration dates to access for REDCap, ODRS, and NextGen because staff leave our organization. Due to this, we put safeguards in the form of expiration dates for accounts in case we do not hear about staff leaving and no longer need access.
If you know you will need access for longer than a year, we can work out a later expiration date with your supervisor.
