Email Encryption
Emails sent internally to City of Columbus employees are automatically encrypted. However, if you need to send sensitive information via email to an external email recipient, you must use Email Encryption.
How to Encrypt Email
Simply put the tag [secure] in your email’s subject line, before all other text in your subject line. You must include the brackets around the word “secure” in order for your email to be encrypted. See the image below for an example:
